Sharks are cartilaginous fish with a cartilaginous skeleton that fossilizes poorly. That is why we mostly find fossils of glassy scales, spines and above all fossilized shark teeth. The advantage is that shark teeth regrew regularly throughout the shark's life, and at some sites fossilized shark teeth are very abundant. Shark teeth come in various sizes and shapes, which makes them very popular with collectors. The teeth of Carcharodon megalodon are well known; they reach such sizes that they attract the attention of experts and the general public alike. Like all fossils of organic origin, the tooth is a symbol of longevity. In new homes it is said to create harmony and accord, and at work to bring success and stability.
