Mookaite is named after Mooka Creek in Western Australia, where it is mined almost exclusively. This locality is the only significant source of mookaite in the world, which makes it a rare Australian original. The stone is found there in sedimentary layers and is the remains of prehistoric microorganisms (radiolarians) that formed marine sediments in the Cretaceous period. Individual pieces often feature characteristic bands, spots and color transitions – no two are the same.
In our range you will find mookaite in various forms – tumbled stones, raw pieces, jewelry (bracelets, pendants, necklaces) and collector's pieces. Each piece is a unique original thanks to its natural color pattern.
