Chrysoprase Necklaces
Chrysoprase necklace – an apple-green piece of jewelry for the heart chakra and calm
A chrysoprase necklace is a popular esoteric piece of jewelry with a characteristic apple-green color – from soft light green through classic apple green to deep "mint" green. Chrysoprase belongs to the chalcedony family (the quartz group) , and its green color comes from natural nickel compounds. In esoteric tradition, it is associated with the 4th, heart chakra (Anahata) and is traditionally called "the stone of joy, renewal and spring energy". Thanks to its high durability (hardness 6.5–7 Mohs, chalcedony family), a chrysoprase necklace is suitable for everyday wear – with care for the sensitivity of its color.

In our range you will find various types of chrysoprase necklaces – from delicate beaded models of strung chrysoprase beads through tumbled versions with a bohemian look to premium S925 silver necklaces with polished chrysoprase. You can choose from different shades – classic apple green, deep "mint" or pale lime. Every piece of chrysoprase is a unique original with its own shade.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: Chrysoprase CAN FADE in sunlight and heat – its color can lighten, mainly through gradual loss of water from the stone. With prolonged exposure to sun and heat, it can gradually become paler. Store it in a drawer or a dark pouch.

Caring for a chrysoprase necklace – • CAREFULLY!
- Hardness 6.5–7 Mohs – chrysoprase is durable (chalcedony family); suitable for everyday wear
- • CHRYSOPRASE CAN FADE IN THE SUN! – sunlight and heat can gradually lighten its green color (mainly through the stone gradually drying out). Protect it from prolonged direct sunlight
- • Protect it from heat – never leave it in a hot car, on a windowsill in summer, or near a fireplace or radiator
- Store it out of direct sunlight – in a soft pouch in a drawer, not on a windowsill
- Cleaning: wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth; brief contact with lukewarm water is fine
- The silver part should occasionally be polished with a special silver polishing cloth
- For sport, manual work and contact with hard objects: take it off
- Before showering, the sauna and swimming: take it off
- Energy cleansing (once a week): smudging with sage or palo santo, or on an amethyst cluster / selenite plate
- Charging: ideally full-moon light all night (NOT long sun – chrysoprase can fade!)
- Protect it from: household chemicals, perfumes, hairspray, ultrasonic cleaners, harsh cleaning agents
- Protect it from knocks – despite its hardness, a fall onto a hard surface can cause a crack
- Storing with other stones: only with harder or equally hard stones (quartz, sapphire); not with softer ones (calcite, amber, opal)
- Tip for restoring the color: faded chrysoprase can sometimes be partly restored by storing it in a damp environment for several weeks (a traditional collectors' practice) – but it is best to prevent fading through correct storage

Classic apple green is the universal choice for everyday wear. Deep "mint" for a more intense, dramatic effect (the most valuable variety). Pale lime for a softer pastel look. Blue-green for collectors. If you are not sure, classic apple green is a timeless "safe" choice. For chrysoprase we recommend PRINCESS length (43–48 cm) as the universal choice – the stone rests between the throat and heart chakras. For large chrysoprase cabochons and pendants , MATINEE (50–60 cm)is ideal. Choose according to your neckline and the occasion. Yes – chrysoprase has a hardness of 6.5–7 Mohs and is physically durable. BUT beware of its sensitivity to sun and heat – with everyday wear in summer sun, it may gradually fade. We recommend it rather for spring/autumn/winter wear or for special occasions. In summer, better to keep it in a drawer or a dark pouch. IT CAN – the color of chrysoprase comes from nickel, but it is sensitive to prolonged sunlight and heat, which gradually dry the stone out and can make its color paler. Store it in a drawer or a dark pouch and charge it under the full moon (not in the sun!). NEVER leave it in a hot car. We do not recommend it – water itself does not harm chrysoprase, but shampoos, soaps, chlorine and salt water can build up on the surface and damage the silver part of S925 necklaces. Take it off before showering, the sauna and swimming. Brief contact with water when washing your hands is fine. Partly – a traditional collectors' practice: store faded chrysoprase in a damp environment (e.g. in a damp cloth or a box with damp moss) for several weeks. The color may partly return. But it is best to prevent fading by storing it correctly, away from sun and heat. Cleansing: briefly under running water, smudging with sage, or on a selenite plate. Charging: ONLY full-moon light all night (NOT sun – chrysoprase can fade!). In this it differs from many esoteric stones – never charge chrysoprase in the sun. Usually yes – although chrysoprase contains nickel, it is firmly bound in the structure of the stone and is not released during normal wear. Allergy to chrysoprase is rare. BUT beware of metal components – some alloys, platings or clasps may contain small amounts of nickel. Very sensitive people should prefer nickel-free silver, titanium or pure gold. The silver part should occasionally be polished with a special silver polishing cloth. S925 silver naturally tarnishes (patina) – this can be restored by polishing. Clean the chrysoprase with a soft cloth. Store it in a sealable bag, ideally with an anti-tarnish strip, so that the silver tarnishes more slowly, and in a drawer (protect chrysoprase from the sun). Yes – chrysoprase is versatile. Classic combinations: "green harmony" (chrysoprase + jadeite + nephrite + aventurine), "the heart trio" (chrysoprase + rose quartz + morganite), "the spring combination" (chrysoprase + aquamarine + citrine). Layering different lengths creates a fresh spring look.Which shade of chrysoprase should I choose?+
