Rough iolite stones measuring 3–7 cm stand out for their natural blue-violet hue and unique energy. This mineral, also known as cordierite, is considered a stone of intuition, inner strength and balance. In crystal lore it is said to support concentration, self-confidence and spiritual growth, which makes it popular for meditation and energy work.
The colors of iolite stand out best when the stone is moistened with water or gently wiped with a cloth with a little cooking oil – its surface then lights up beautifully and reveals the depth of its colors.
