Tiger's eye

Tiger's eye is a golden-brown quartz with fine fibrous inclusions that create a moving sheen resembling a cat's eye. This optical effect is called chatoyancy. It has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale and is used in bracelets, beads and cabochons.
