Aragonite

Aragonite is a calcium carbonate with the same composition as calcite but a different crystal structure. It has a hardness of 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale. It occurs in white, brown, blue and yellow and forms needle-like crystals or stalactites. It is more brittle and sensitive to acids.
