Ametrine
Ametrine is a variety of quartz that combines the purple zones of amethyst and the yellow-orange zones of citrine in a single crystal. It has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Almost all natural material comes from Bolivia. The coloring arises from different effects of heat and radiation in different parts of the crystal.
