Amazonite

Amazonite is a green to blue-green potassium feldspar (microcline). Traces of lead and water in the crystal lattice give it its color. It has a hardness of 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. It is mined in Russia, Brazil and Madagascar. It is often made into beads, bracelets and cabochons.
