Shungite and shungite chips

• Shungite has a wide variety of uses.
• Basically, we divide it into two groups according to the use of its properties.

Shungite water

• One of the most widespread ways to enrich water with the effects of shungite is so-called shungite water.
• Shungite chips are said to remove chlorine, ammonia, nitrates and other undesirable substances from water.
• It is said to disinfect water and enrich it with trace minerals.

• Shungite is said to be able to purify water of almost all organic substances (including petroleum products, phenols and pesticides), of many metals and non-metals, bacteria and other microorganisms.
• Since the water we drink penetrates every cell of our body, its quality is even more important than the quality of our food.
• Shungite is said to have the great property of cleansing water of mold spores and removing sediment, off-flavors and odors as well as heavy metals.
• It is also said to enrich water with trace elements and change its energy-information structure, thereby activating and charging it.

 Preparing shungite water

Place the shungite chips in a cotton cloth and put it in a pot. Add water and bring to the boil for approx. 2-3 minutes, then drain and let cool. This activates the shungite and makes it ready for use.

• To prepare shungite water, you can use a shungite pyramid as well as shungite chips.
• Use a transparent container of approximately 2,5 liters.
• Place the shungite on the bottom and cover it with cold, standing or filtered water.
• The effects of shungite in the water are said to appear after just 40 minutes; you can also top up the water, but after 48 hours replace all of it, as it is losing its properties.

Cleansing shungite

• To make the best use of shungite's properties, do not forget to cleanse it. There are several ways to cleanse shungite.
• One option is to immerse the shungite in a baking soda solution for approx. 2 hours and then rinse it well under running water.
• The second option is to wash the shungite and let it dry in direct sunlight once every two weeks.
• It is also good to replace the shungite stones. The ideal interval is estimated at about six months. Do not throw the old stones away; they can still be useful around the house (e.g. for cleaning aquarium water, helping with growing houseplants, etc.).

Shungite is a stone talked about more and more, appealing not only for its varied uses but also for its history.
